[Trump Administration Allegedly Pushed for Issuance of $250 Bill Featuring His Portrait]
According to The Washington Post, several Trump administration appointees reportedly pressured the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, which is responsible for printing U.S. currency, to design a new $250 bill featuring Trump's portrait and signature. This would make him the first living person in over 150 years to appear on U.S. currency. Four current and former employees stated that the officials provided a sample design to Bureau staff last August. A printing supervisor at the Bureau who refused to cooperate was recently reassigned and mentioned in a farewell letter that 'the responsibility ends with me.'
