The "Salomon Brothers" Bitcoin scam is hitting the news again. With some anon taking legal action in the US, trying to get a declaratory judgement over "lost" Bitcoin, claiming it as their own. Unfortunately, the judge seems to have already ruled that the OP_Return notices were a valid way of legally serving the coin owners. The last time we tried to look at this was July 2025. Maybe its worth us digging again. One thing that stands out to us is that a dodgy and pathetic attempt to revive the "Salomon Brothers" brand, may be the type of thing someone trying to claim legal ownership of "lost" Bitcoin may do. So it could be the same person behind both, rather than a Salomon Brothers client(BitMEX Research)
