My first bill in the Senate: THE WASHINGTON CLEAN HANDS ACT Seeks a constitutional amendment on Term limits. Single issue Bills only. The Ukraine Funding Bill should be called the Ukraine Funding Bill and stand alone on its own merits. Funding for a foreign government shouldn’t be in the same bill dealing with Veterans, Social Security, Medicaid, etc. No more 1-2K page omnibus bills. Congress doesn’t pass a budget - Congress doesn’t get paid. Congress shuts down the government - Congress doesn’t get paid. End insider trading on securities and commodities (including crypto, metals, oil, stocks, etc.). End regulatory capture at our federal agencies. No more being the FDA Chairman on Friday and Monday morning you show up on Pfizer’s Board. You can’t go from SEC Chairman to Apollo Group or any other firm you were just in charge of regulating. End the Dark Money involved in Leadership PACS. And much more.(John E Deaton)
