Google's false encrypted advertisements continue to be banned, and counterfeit Uniswap phishing websites have taken away another $400000 BlockBeats News: On May 26th, blockchain analyst "b-block" posted on social media platforms that a counterfeit Uniswap website is stealing funds from multiple wallets, and the value of assets held by the scammers has exceeded $400000. Stacy Muur, founder of Web3 marketing agency Green Dots, shared screenshots of fake sponsorship results from search engines, criticizing Google for ignoring this issue for many years, resulting in fake links being prioritized over real links and users being continuously stolen. According to Etherscan data, the two marked addresses hold approximately 146 ETH worth around $306000. DeFi Llama pointed out that false advertising on Google is a common source of phishing attacks. The encryption non-profit organization Security Alliance (SEAL) reported in April that phishing activities on Google search "significantly increased" in March. Attackers delivered highly deceptive false ads by paying or stealing legitimate advertising accounts, bypassing Google's automated checks with seemingly real URLs, and loading malicious payloads through hidden iframes. SEAL has blocked over 356 malicious ad links and stated that the weekly deployment of Google ads by attackers has remained stable for over a year, and the attack activity has not slowed down. According to reports, between March 13th and 30th alone, the total amount of stolen funds reached 1.27 million US dollars. In addition, earlier this month there was a "malicious advertising" campaign targeting Mac users using Google Ads and AI chatbot Claude's shared chat. The Malwarebytes report also points out that Facebook is also a high-risk area for false advertising and fraud. [Original link]
