[Economist: Japan's 10-year treasury bond bond yield may rise to 3.1% in the second half of fiscal year 2027]
Odaily Planet Daily News, economist in chief of Daiwa Research, said that the yield of Japanese 10-year treasury bond bonds is expected to rise to about 3.1% in the second half of fiscal year 2027. The fiscal year 2027 will end in March 2028. They stated that the impact of the Bank of Japan's interest rate hike and reduction in its bond buying program may further push bond yields higher. Economists also suggest that if the Prime Minister's expansionary fiscal policy, which prioritizes high market demand, exacerbates market concerns about inflation, and the scale of government bond issuance may increase, leading to a worsening supply-demand imbalance, there is still further room for yields to rise. The yield of Japanese treasury bond bonds fell on Monday due to the drop in oil prices. The yield of 10-year Japanese treasury bond fell 7 basis points to 2.690%. (Golden Ten)
