Just one more thing before bed. Maybe I closed my position early, but it’s no big deal. After all, my first target was $90, and after fully closing out, my total profit is over 100%. That’s good enough for me. If the funding rate were lower, I might hold on, but with the current funding rate exceeding -0.3%, it’s not ideal.
This is already my third wave since the U.S. and Iran ceasefire, and the total profit has hit my expected target. Of course, I believe there’s still room for further downside. Normally, $80 shouldn’t be an issue, but it might take some time. I’ll just wait for this high funding rate phase to pass before making any moves.
That said, if I miss out on the next move, it’s no big deal. After all, no one can profit from start to finish. This time’s gains are a great example of “monetizing knowledge.” I spent about four weeks explaining the reasons for shorting WTI and also set and explained the liquidation price. I’m really happy that the price never exceeded the $120 liquidation level.
What I want to say is, this is what trend and knowledge-based trading looks like—relatively low risk with decent profits. If I can make money, you guys definitely can too. If it drops below $90 and there’s an opportunity, I’ll go for another round. If I miss it, so be it. There are always more opportunities.
Goodnight.
