[MARA Spent $4.3 Million on CEO Security Last Year Due to Rising Crypto-Related Personal Attacks] According to Deep Tide TechFlow on May 22, citing a report from Cointelegraph, Bitcoin mining company MARA Holdings spent $4.3 million in 2025 on personal security for CEO Fred Thiel. This included $430,780 for vehicle armoring, as well as expenses for residential and personal security. Documents show that related expenditures in 2024 amounted to $191,040. In the same year, MARA also spent $3.9 million on personal security for CFO Salman Khan. The report noted that as "wrench attacks" targeting cryptocurrency executives and investors increase, the personal security costs for related companies are on the rise.
