Threshold Network: Attack unsuccessful, Optimal Minting paused

Threshold Network reported on the X platform that on May 18th at 18:04 (UTC+8), the attacker attempted to mint tBTC without depositing the underlying BTC, but was unsuccessful and did not generate invalid tBTC. User funds were not affected. Due to caution, Optimal Minting has been temporarily suspended and casting is now carried out through the sweeping mechanism, with the time extended to approximately 6-7 hours. It is reported that the security model of tBTC is held by a decentralized signer network that holds the underlying Bitcoin and verifies each native casting through verifiable Bitcoin SPV proof.
