Trump administration requests suspension of 10% global tariff ruling enforcement

On May 11th local time, the Trump administration requested the US court to suspend the unfavorable ruling made by the US International Trade Court on May 8th regarding the 10% global tariff, in order to advance the appeal process. If the request is approved, the three importers who sued the government for tariff policies will face a 10% global tariff again. The tariff was implemented in February of this year, formulated in accordance with Article 122 of the 1974 Trade Act, and is scheduled to expire in July of this year, unless Congress decides to extend it. Previously, after the US Supreme Court rejected most of the tariff measures introduced by the Trump administration in 2025, the government turned to promoting a new global tariff policy.
