[Jefferies: U.S. and Iran Maintain a Stalemate, but Iran Holds the Time Advantage]
Odaily Planet Daily News – Jefferies economist Kumar noted in a research report that after the U.S. president and Iran mutually rejected each other's proposals to end the conflict, the "stalemate" situation continues to dominate. Kumar stated that Iran refuses to dismantle its nuclear program—precisely the key demand put forth by Trump; meanwhile, the Strait of Hormuz remains effectively closed. Kumar wrote: 'Trump does want to reach an agreement, but he must prove to his supporters that the U.S. has successfully negotiated a deal on the nuclear issue—which was the entire premise for initiating this conflict.' Kumar further pointed out that the resilience demonstrated by the U.S. economy indicates that the war has not yet had any substantial impact on the United States; meanwhile, Iran holds the time advantage, potentially outlasting Trump's patience.
