The US Department of Defense has released the first batch of 162 new UFO files, but no evidence has been found to confirm the discovery of extraterrestrial technology
Odaily Planet Daily News: The US Department of Defense has begun releasing new UFO files and stated that the public can independently determine information related to "unidentified anomalies" (UAPs). The first batch of public content includes 162 documents, such as old State Department telegrams, FBI files, and NASA manned space mission records. One of the documents detailed an FBI interview: a person identified as a drone pilot claimed to have witnessed a "linear object" in September 2023, emitting light so bright that "even the stripes in the light could be seen clearly". The interview record states: "The object remained visible for about 5 to 10 seconds, after which the lights went out and the object disappeared. Another document is a NASA photo from the Apollo 17 mission in 1972, showing three triangular light points. The Pentagon stated in its explanation that there is currently no consensus on the nature of this anomalous phenomenon, but new preliminary analysis suggests that it may be a 'physical object'. The Pentagon has been pushing for the declassification of UFO related documents for many years, while the US Congress established a dedicated office in 2022 to handle the disclosure of related materials. The first report released by the office in 2024 disclosed hundreds of new UAP incidents, but did not find any evidence to suggest that the US government had confirmed the discovery of extraterrestrial technology.
