Was out eating and saw the news about Iran roasting U.S. media. Not sure if U.S. media is taking after Trump’s personality, exaggerating things again. The situation was fine, but Iran’s response totally shut them down. If they hadn’t started bragging early, the market wouldn’t have reversed so drastically. Got called out big time. That said, I still think the chances of both sides escalating the conflict are pretty low. They’ll probably start by discussing the Hormuz Strait issue, deal with the immediate concerns first, and then talk about other stuff. For now, let’s see if oil prices can stabilize below $90 this week. I also believe the overall trend toward a full ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran is looking positive—as long as Trump doesn’t keep running his mouth. Trash talk + TACO, pretty embarrassing.
