[Ethereum Foundation: Key Goals of Glamsterdam Upgrade Nearly Achieved, 200M Gas Limit Consensus Reached] Golden Finance reports that on May 4, the Ethereum Foundation published a summary of the Soldøgn Interop work, stating that the key goals of the Glamsterdam upgrade have been nearly completed. These include reaching consensus on the 200 million Gas Limit lower bound post-upgrade, achieving stable operation of the ePBS external builder process, and finalizing the EIP-8037 Gas repricing parameters. The focus of the Glamsterdam upgrade is to safely increase the Gas Limit to expand Ethereum's throughput capacity, while EIP-8037 aims to prevent unlimited state expansion caused by high Gas Limits by increasing the cost of state creation. The Ethereum Foundation also noted that most clients have achieved stable operation on glamsterdam-devnet-2 and have successfully tested the full external builder process. Additionally, significant progress has been made on features related to FOCIL, native account abstraction, and the Hegotá upgrade. In the coming weeks, core developers will continue to work on client hardening, testing improvements, and code merging. Final parameters will still be publicly confirmed at the AllCoreDevs meeting.
