The Trump government's re opening of the "concept of freedom at sea" and the new plan to guarantee the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz
The United States has received approval from Secretary of State Marco Rubio through an internal telegram from the State Department on April 28th. Instruct embassies abroad to pressure allies to join. Countries can participate as diplomatic and/or military partners.
The telegram emphasized that this was the first step in the post-war maritime security architecture and requested confidentiality from US adversaries such as China and Russia.
This plan is not a simple military action, but a hybrid model of diplomacy, intelligence and sanctions. It is similar to the upgraded version of Trump's previous "Hormuz Escort Alliance", but focuses more on the long-term post-war framework. At present, European countries are separately discussing similar maritime security plans, and the United States hopes to complement them but be led by the United States.
At present, the initiative has just been sent out via telegram, requiring verbal notification to partner countries before May 1st, and subsequent progress depends on the response of allies. Trump has always stressed that Iran cannot threaten the United States.
In other words, Trump has been unable to bear the rising oil price, and hopes to open the Strait of Hormuz as soon as possible without fighting with Iran.
Led by the United States, a multinational international alliance will be formed to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz through intelligence sharing, diplomatic coordination, and joint sanctions, allowing merchant ships to safely pass through and establishing a long-term maritime security framework for the post-war Middle East.
I personally continue to maintain a high position short position on WTI and ensure that the breakout price is above $120. If WTI exceeds $115, my breakout price will be set at $150.
