The Financial Intelligence Agency of South Korea has appealed against the court's decision to revoke Dunamu's suspension of business
According to Yonhap News Agency, the Financial Intelligence Service of South Korea appealed to the Seoul Administrative Court on April 30th against the court's decision to revoke its three-month partial business suspension of Upbit operator Dunamu. Previously, the court held that Dunamu took measures such as seeking commitment letters from clients and using virtual asset trading monitoring systems after the problem occurred. Although these measures were not sufficient to completely block transactions with unreported operators, it could not be determined that Dunamu intentionally or grossly negligent did not take necessary measures. FIU determined in February last year that Dunamu had engaged in violations such as trading with overseas undeclared virtual asset operators and violating customer confirmation obligations, and imposed a three-month partial business suspension penalty. Dunamu had previously applied to suspend the execution of the disciplinary action.
