[ASOS Co-Founder’s Bitcoin Wallet with Approximately $4 Million Transferred Abnormally After His Death] According to Deep Tide TechFlow, on April 29, the Daily Mail reported that ASOS co-founder Quentin Griffiths fell to his death in Pattaya, Thailand, on February 9 this year. Following his death, approximately $4 million (around £2.7 million) in assets from his Bitcoin wallet were transferred in three transactions to unknown addresses within days. Thai police have launched an investigation into the matter. Griffiths' eldest son, Joel, reported the incident to the police about six weeks after his father’s death. Lawyer Mona Mankong stated that the funds were transferred to "mysterious addresses," with their whereabouts unknown, and questioned whether Joel himself had access to the wallet. Before his death, Griffiths had been convicted of fraud by a Thai court in October last year for allegedly forging documents to unlawfully remove his ex-wife, Ploy Kringsinthanakun, from her director position at the family real estate company. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison but was temporarily released after filing an appeal. He was scheduled to meet with his ex-wife’s lawyer two days before his death. Thai authorities’ investigation concluded that his death involved no suspicious circumstances or third-party involvement. Currently, the Griffiths family is also embroiled in a legal dispute over custody of the children he had with Ploy. His eldest son, Joel, has applied to bring the children back to the UK for upbringing, but Ploy insists on exercising full custody in Thailand.
