According to Project Eleven, a reward of 1 Bitcoin will be given to developers who use the Shor algorithm to crack a 15 bit elliptic curve key on publicly available quantum hardware. Compared to previous public demonstrations, the success rate of cracking has increased by 512 times, highlighting the risks faced by the $2.5 trillion elliptic curve key protected digital assets.
