According to The Block, Input Output Global, the core development company of Cardano, has submitted 9 proposals for the year 2026, resulting in an overall funding reduction of approximately 50% compared to last year. The plan focuses on Leios expansion and upgrade, with the goal of increasing monthly transaction volume from approximately 800000 to over 27 million. Leios is expected to enter the testing network in June and go live on the main network before the end of the year. IOG plans to apply for 62.1 million ADAs (approximately 15.8 million US dollars) for node upgrades, monitoring, and security maintenance, and introduce Babel Fees to support non ADA asset payment fees. At the same time, it will explore new economic models, including small wallet fees, Bitcoin staking credit, and returns.
