The number of AI driven vulnerability bounty reports has surged, and encryption protocol teams are exhausted from dealing with "AI garbage" reports On April 22nd, according to Cointelegraph, the widespread use of AI is driving up the submission volume of vulnerability bounty programs in the cryptocurrency industry. However, a large number of low-quality "AI junk" reports are also emerging, putting a heavy screening burden on protocol teams. Barry Plunkett, Co CEO of Cosmos Labs, stated that the platform's submission volume has surged by 900% compared to last year, receiving 20 to 50 reports per day; Kadan Stadelmann, CTO of Komodo Platform, also pointed out that the number of low-quality and false positives has significantly increased, and AI's reduction in report generation costs is the main reason. Daniel Stenberg, the creator of the open-source tool curl, has directly closed his vulnerability bounty program due to overwhelming pressure. Industry insiders suggest that teams introduce defensive AI systems to automatically screen reports and establish stricter submission standards to reduce the number of invalid reports and ensure timely handling of real vulnerabilities.
