In my memory, every time there was a crisis in the industry, there were always white knights standing up to turn the tide, which has always made me feel respected for the spirit of the bottom of the industry.
In addition to @ jocyiosg's mention of MakerDAO, where wealthy investors collectively participated in bidding to save the chain collapse in 2020, there were several other times that left a deep impression on me.

In 2022, Ronin was stolen 173600 ETH and 25.5 million USDC by General Jin's Lazarus Group, with a total of approximately $600 million in two transactions.
@CZ_Sinance and Binance immediately came forward to freeze 86 accounts that had been hacked into Binance, recovering $5.8 million. They then announced their lead investment in Ronin and completed $150 million in financing, salvaging the panic at the time. The final agreement fully repaid the stolen funds, and the user received compensation.

In 2023, Curve founder Michael Egorov used his approximately 460 million CRVs (47% of the total supply) as collateral to lend over $100 million in stablecoins on multiple DeFi protocols such as Aave and Abracadabra.
As a result, on July 30th, hackers used a vulnerability in the Vyper programming language to launch an attack, causing the CRV price to plummet by over 30%. If that loser's loan is forcibly liquidated, it will trigger a multi protocol chain crisis, and the entire DeFi will be trembling.
The results included Sun Ge @ Justinsuntron DWF Wintermute and other major players buying Crv from Michael through OTC to raise $42 million, repay the debt, and relieve Defi's survival crisis.

So far this time, what I have seen is that the three parties are still bickering with each other, and no industry leader has stepped forward to provide coordination. They are all silently watching everyone's confidence in Defi erode over time.
Will there be another white knight appearing this time?
