According to Bloomberg, Nasdaq, the Stuttgart Stock Exchange Group, and 39 other institutions, including industry associations from France, Spain, and Italy, have jointly sent a letter to the EU, suggesting that the Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) pilot framework be separated from the 'Market Integration and Regulatory Package' and its review process accelerated. The signatories propose removing asset class restrictions, raising the transaction cap to €150 billion, and eliminating the time limit on permissions. They also warned that if progress remains slow, Europe could fall behind the U.S. in the tokenized asset sector. Meanwhile, the EU seems inclined to incorporate the relevant rules into the overall regulatory framework for unified implementation.
