[NFT Marketplace Foundation Announces Permanent Closure After Failed Sale]
BlockBeats News, April 17, according to The Defiant, the Ethereum-based NFT marketplace Foundation will permanently shut down after failing to be acquired by digital art display company BlackDove.
Founder Kayvon Tehranian announced this decision on X and explained that the deal to sell the platform to 'a buyer intending to continue operating the platform' had fallen through, and the company sees no need to continue searching for new buyers.
Tehranian wrote: 'Our goal in pursuing the sale was always to ensure Foundation could continue to exist. But now, that is no longer possible. During our closure process, the infrastructure has already been shut down, and we can no longer bring the platform back online.'
