Kill Satoshi Nakamoto to be promoted to buyers at Cannes Film Festival for distribution
According to BlockBeats, on April 16th, The Wrap reported that a $70 million film about the mysterious founder of Bitcoin had quietly completed its main filming last month in a "gray box" in London that looked like a storage facility. On the surface, this is a fairly standard commercial film - directed by Doug Liman and starring Gal Gadot, Pete Davidson, Casey Affleck, and Isla Fisher - telling a global thriller story centered around the search for the identity of the inventor of decentralized cryptocurrencies. But it has a key difference: Bitcoin: Kill Satoshi Nakamoto is described as the first fully generated, studio level AI feature film.
Acme AI&FX produced this independent movie. According to the production team, the film was shot in a custom-made studio in 20 days and produced using AI technology, allowing projects that could have cost up to $300 million in traditional production to be completed within a more controllable budget. Although the set scenery and lighting are generated by AI, the actors' performances themselves will not be altered. They were dressed in costumes that would eventually appear on the screen, and Casey Affleck also underwent wig and makeup styling before filming. What the audience will see is the original image of the actor's real performance.
Performance is the performance itself, "said producer Ryan Kavanaugh. We capture performances in a very unique way, and this AI process takes actors' performances as the core when generating images, and then builds all the content in this performance framework. Although the producer refused to disclose the specific program used by AI, he stated that it is a "completely new method" for inserting and fusing actor performances with all background elements.
In order to produce 'Bitcoin: Killing Satoshi Nakamoto', which is planned to be promoted to buyers at the Cannes International Film Festival in May for distribution. According to the producers, "Bitcoin: Killing Satoshi Nakamoto" employed a total of 107 actors, 100 filming staff, and 54 non filming staff - a scale that is relatively common in independent films, but large commercial films often require thousands of staff to complete production. Director Doug Liman is currently in a 30 week post production phase, which will involve 55 AI artists. Producer Lawrence Grey explained, "AI will not replace human participation," and added, "Human participation is absolutely indispensable throughout the entire process
