According to data released by the US Treasury Department on Wednesday, overseas holdings increased by $197.7 billion in February compared to the previous month's revised data. Canada's monthly holdings have always fluctuated greatly, increasing by $50.5 billion to $446.3 billion in February. Saudi Arabia's holdings increased by $25.6 billion to $160.4 billion in the month leading up to the outbreak of the US Israel war against Iran. As the largest overseas holder of US Treasury bonds, Japan's holdings increased by $14 billion to $124 trillion; The second largest holder, the United Kingdom, increased by $17.6 billion to $897.3 billion.
