Bernstein predicts that the annual trading volume of the US market will reach $1 trillion by 2030

Bernstein analyst Gautam Chhugani predicts that the total trading volume of the US market will reach $240 billion in 2026, a year-on-year increase of 370%. He predicts that the annual trading volume of the market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of about 80% between 2025 and 2030, reaching $1 trillion by the beginning of 2030. He believes that the increased clarity of federal regulation, tokenization of blockchain, and integration with digital currencies will drive market liquidity growth, and the structure of trading contracts may change. He expects the institutional market to develop around economic, commercial, and political contracts, with the proportion of sports contract trading potentially dropping from over 60% currently to half by 2030, while businesses and insurance companies may generate hedging demand.
