American Express launches AI payment tool and explores stablecoin settlement scenarios

Payment giant American Express announced the launch of an AI payment development toolkit for "agent-based commerce", supporting AI agents to complete economic activities such as payments, and promising to provide purchase protection for erroneous transactions generated by registering AI agents. This toolkit reduces fraud and dispute risks through mechanisms such as verifying agent and cardholder identities. American Express also stated that it has developed various plans to explore the application of stablecoins in settlement scenarios, but did not disclose specific details.
