I feel like, since Binance wants to take a bite out of the active market maker fee, they might as well cancel the funding fee mechanism for these coins. Then, it’s just a matter of which side has more money in contracts. Right now, with the funding fee, you’re basically helping the spot market whales as 'active market makers,' because the whales control 90% of the chips, and the opposing side can’t handle the funding fees either.
