Foresight News reports that on April 7, the Argentine National Securities Commission (CNV) issued Resolution No. 1125/2026, revising the definition of qualified investors to explicitly include virtual assets within the scope of assets that can be used to determine investor qualifications. According to the new regulations, virtual assets held by individuals or legal entities can be combined with securities investments and bank deposits, and reaching 350,000 UVA (Argentine inflation-linked units) qualifies as a qualified investor.
Additionally, the revision introduces new provisions related to crowdfunding (Financiamiento Colectivo), allowing non-qualified investors to participate in specific public offerings. The maximum single investment is capped at 3,000 UVA, with a cumulative limit of 10,000 UVA, and must not exceed 5% (single investment) or 10% (cumulative) of the investor's personal assets.
