Spent the whole day sleeping today, and planning to do the same tomorrow. From Monday to Friday, I pretty much wake up and get straight to work—reading, writing, and creating content takes up most of my time, so I don’t get much sleep. But on weekends, with the U.S. stock market closed, liquidity dries up and market sentiment is pretty meh. That’s when I love to stay in bed, scrolling on my phone or reading novels. By the way, I still prefer watching movies and shows on my computer. In Singapore, I only have a 34-inch screen—not satisfying enough. I really miss my 55-inch monitor back in Shanghai. Aside from rambling, the main focus this weekend should be the U.S.-Iran talks in Pakistan. For now, the Strait of Hormuz remains the biggest point of contention. A ceasefire in Lebanon might still be necessary, but Iran is holding a tough stance on this. So far, there’s no clear sign of the Strait of Hormuz fully reopening, but WTI prices started dropping on Friday. The market seems to have decent expectations for these negotiations. On Monday, I’ll keep an eye on how the Asian and U.S. markets react to oil prices. Shorting WTI could be worth considering at this point. However, since CL positions are relatively large, you might want to start with MCL and gradually scale up. Looking at Bitcoin data, it’s the usual weekend vibes. BTC prices are still ticking up slightly, which shows that investors have pretty high expectations for a ceasefire. If a full ceasefire happens, we might see a spike, but after that, the focus will likely shift back to monetary policy—that’s when the real battle begins. Weekend liquidity is super low, and trading volume is weak. But the lower the activity, the more it shows that long-term holders aren’t interested in selling Bitcoin. Short-term investors are likely betting on further price increases with the ceasefire expectations, while others are staying on the sidelines. Bitget VIP—lower fees, bigger perks!
