Most of it probably comes from love turning into hate... Well, hate can barely count as a form of love, right? After all, ignoring and indifference are actually more effective... People don’t even bother to curse you anymore...
KOL bloggers talk about it, at least for the sake of traffic. In real life, who would openly tell others they’re into crypto? It feels too much like a scam... Even if you’re not that kind of person, the fact that you haven’t left means you still acknowledge this culture.
Back in the early days, the industry basically took pride in Binance. If a token or project got listed on Binance spot, it was seen as validation... Most bloggers came from the era of belief. Back then, I wasn’t running Twitter yet, and I had a filter for these people—until I got followed/blocked, dug deeper, and saw through the illusion. That’s when I realized Binance is just a bigger shell... It’s definitely fragmented...
If you’ve done things that don’t earn respect, why still expect people to praise you? (Especially when there’s no vested interest involved.) From @cz_binance @heyibinance’s perspective, I can empathize—Binance has had a tough journey. Lots of competitors, lots of FUD, but you’ve already secured your position in the industry. Why still demand respect from everyone? You’re already the “emperor,” so just accept the fear, awe, and respect that come with it. Why insist on admiration too?
Lastly, once that feeling is gone, it’ll never go back to how it was at the beginning... That’s how I feel about Binance right now. If you ask me what kind of feeling it is, I can’t put it into words. What does it mean?
