US law firm Gibbs Mura has announced a class action investigation into the theft of Drift Protocol, involving approximately $280 million to $285 million in funds, of which over $230 million in USDC was transferred to Ethereum via Circle's cross chain transfer protocol. Gibbs Mura pointed out that Circle has not frozen funds and is evaluating whether investors can file claims for "failure to intervene in a timely manner" and "insufficient monitoring", and called on damaged users to participate in litigation to recover funds.
