SEC appoints David Woodcock as head of enforcement department

On April 9th, the US Securities and Exchange Commission announced the appointment of David Woodcock as the new head of the enforcement department, replacing the previously resigned supervisor. Woodcock has served as the Director of the SEC Fort Worth Office and has been involved in multiple major law enforcement investigations. Recently, he has been a partner at the law firm Gibson Dunn. SEC Chairman Paul Atkins stated that this appointment aims to strengthen the crackdown on investor harming behavior.
