Iran will earn around $60–100 billion annually by imposing transit fees on vessels moving through the Strait of Hormuz, revenue that was $0 before the war.
From a U.S. perspective, the conflict largely resulted in destroying old assets and leadership structures, including older naval equipment and longstanding figures at the top.
When Iran now collects tolls in Chinese yuan or cryptocurrencies, it could use that income to transform its military from an older force into a more modern, technologically advanced one.
Under such a scenario, Iran could emerge as the super power in the Middle East.(WF)
