NASDAQ extends BlackRock IBIT and ETHA transition to universal ETF timeline

On April 9th, Nasdaq submitted a rule change, extending the timeline for BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) and iShares Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHA) from specific listing requirements to general listing standards, from the originally scheduled first quarter of 2026 to the third quarter of 2026, to allow BlackRock more time to complete the conversion. This change was submitted on March 31, 2026 and will take immediate effect.
