According to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA), on April 4th local time, the average gasoline price in the United States rose to $4.10 per gallon, an increase of 12 cents from last week. Since the US Israel attack on Iran on February 28th, gasoline prices have risen by 37%. The near closure of the Strait of Hormuz and the decline in oil production in the Middle East are the main reasons. California has the highest average gasoline price, close to $5.92 per gallon, while Oklahoma has the lowest, at $3.29 per gallon.
