[U.S. Intelligence Agencies: Iran Currently Unwilling to Engage in Substantive Negotiations]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on April 2, U.S. officials revealed that multiple U.S. intelligence agencies have recently assessed that the Iranian government is currently unwilling to engage in substantive negotiations aimed at ending the U.S.-Iran conflict. These officials stated that the assessment report indicates the Iranian government believes it holds a favorable position in the conflict and therefore sees no need to accept the diplomatic demands proposed by the U.S.
The officials also noted that while Iran is willing to keep communication channels open, the country does not trust the U.S. and does not believe that President Trump is serious about negotiations. Over the past year, Trump has twice ordered attacks on Iran while the two sides were engaged in talks regarding Iran's nuclear program.
The assessment aligns with recent statements from Iranian officials, who have dismissed Trump's claims that progress is being made in discussions mediated by other countries. (CCTV News)
