Al Jazeera: It's not easy for Trump to quit the war against Iran
Although President Trump of the United States announced that the military operation against Iran would end in two to three weeks, an Iranian foreign policy expert said that the war was unlikely to end quickly, and the Strait of Hormuz was unlikely to reopen suddenly.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, Trita Parsi from Quincy Institute stated that Iran will continue to control the Strait of Hormuz and is likely to continue firing at it.
"I don't think Trump can come out and end this conflict so easily," Passy said.
He pointed out that Trump was trying to create a successful narrative when he said that reopening the Straits was not the goal of the US war against Iran.
But Parsi added that the president is also expressing dissatisfaction with Europeans because they are unwilling to help him reopen this important waterway.
The United States has the largest and most powerful navy in the world. If the United States cannot do it, what difference can France and other European countries make when they enter? "Said Parsi.
Seeing that Europeans are unwilling to be a part of this farce, he is venting to them, saying, 'Look, the United States doesn't need the Strait of Hormuz, it's you who are hurt, so you must solve this problem on your own.'
Pacy also said that with the progress of the action, he saw that Trump's goals were being "Israeli".
He said he wants to send Iranians back to the Stone Age, which is essentially Israelizing America's war objectives
