[Resolution to Restrict Trump's War Powers Rejected Again by U.S. Senate]
According to a report by Jinse Finance, on March 25, the U.S. Senate voted on the 24th to reject a resolution aimed at preventing President Trump from taking further military action against Iran without congressional approval. The Senate vote that day resulted in 47 votes in favor and 53 against, and the resolution failed to pass. The voting results were almost entirely along party lines: except for Kentucky Republican Senator Rand Paul, all Republicans voted against the resolution; except for Pennsylvania Democratic Senator John Fetterman, all Democrats voted in favor. This marks the third time since the joint military strike by the U.S. and Israel against Iran at the end of February that the Senate has failed to pass a resolution aimed at restricting Trump's authority to use military force on the Iran issue.
