**[U.S. Court Dismisses Sexual Abuse Allegations Filed by Sam Altman's Sister]**
BlockBeats News, March 22: According to Bloomberg, the sexual abuse lawsuit filed by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's sister against him has been dismissed. On Friday, U.S. Federal District Court Judge Zachary Bluestone in Missouri ruled that the allegations were too old and had exceeded the statute of limitations, thus deeming the lawsuit "time-barred." However, the judge also stated that Ann Altman could amend and resubmit her complaint.
Her attorney, Ryan Mahoney, commented: "The court's decision pertains solely to procedural matters and does not affect the substantive content of the allegations." He added that the court has allowed the submission of a revised complaint, and the team will complete it promptly and proceed with evidence discovery as planned. Sam Altman's legal representatives declined to comment on the matter.
In January 2025, Ann Altman alleged that during their upbringing in Missouri in the late 1990s to early 2000s, Sam Altman engaged in abusive and manipulative behavior toward her. She claimed the behavior began when she was 3 years old and continued until she was still a minor. In response, Sam Altman issued a statement on behalf of himself, his mother, and his brother, asserting that the allegations were "entirely untrue."
In March 2025, while denying the allegations, Sam Altman filed a defamation lawsuit against his sister, claiming her "false statements" had damaged his reputation and caused emotional distress. His attorney further stated that the lawsuit was filed with the "improper intent of pressuring him to provide unlimited financial support." In this latest ruling, the judge also allowed Sam Altman to proceed with his defamation lawsuit.
