The conference analyzed the trend of transnational criminal networks in the tri-border area shifting towards digitalization and discussed cases related to Hezbollah financing networks. General Mirko Sokol, Commander of the Bolivian Police, revealed that after the arrest of Uruguayan drug lord Sebastián Marset, his transactions were primarily conducted through cryptocurrency. Previously, Paraguay's Tax Authority had required cryptocurrency trading platforms to provide detailed reports on every transaction.
