According to a report by Jinse Finance, on March 17, China's International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, Li Chenggang, stated on March 16 that the topics discussed between China and the U.S. include issues such as bilateral tariff levels under the new circumstances, the possible further extension of arrangements related to bilateral tariffs and non-tariff measures, issues related to promoting bilateral trade and investment cooperation, and addressing each other's economic and trade concerns. The U.S. side introduced its latest adjustments to tariff measures and its considerations for the next steps, while the Chinese side expressed concerns about the uncertainties caused by these adjustments. Both sides agreed to work together to maintain the stability of bilateral economic and trade relations. Regarding the issue of promoting bilateral trade and investment cooperation, the two sides discussed the idea of establishing a mechanism to promote bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
