On March 16th, according to Axios, President Trump is considering sending ground forces to seize Iran's Halk Island, with the decision crucially depending on whether the oil tanker continues to be stranded in the Persian Gulf. Trump is working hard to form a national alliance to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and hopes to announce the relevant news later this week. Currently, no country has publicly committed to joining the alliance. It is reported that Hark Island accounts for 90% of Iran's oil production.
