Anduril has become the big winner in the defense sector recently. Today, the U.S. Army awarded Anduril a $20 billion contract aimed at integrating the company's commercially available technologies for procurement and management. By integrating with hundreds of existing joint and Army system datasets, this contract provides the Army with comprehensive support for strategic, operational, and tactical capabilities. “This enterprise contract is a critical step in establishing a common framework for counter-unmanned aerial systems (counter-America) interoperability,” said Brigadier General Matt Ross, Director of Joint Agency Task Force 401. “It provides a foundational command and control capability. The Department of Defense and interagency partners now have a clear path to a cohesive and operationally effective ecosystem, offering the most advanced tools to combat personnel.” What does $20 billion mean? For comparison, Palantir (PLTR) currently has an annual revenue of over $4 billion, which is equivalent to five years of revenue. Anduril’s projected revenue for 2025 is around $2 billion, and for 2026 it’s expected to reach $4.3 billion—again, nearly five years of revenue. Of course, this contract isn’t a one-time deal; it spans 10 years, including a 5-year base period and a 5-year optional ordering period.
