Ethereum researchers demonstrate Native Rollups prototype

Ethereum researchers demonstrated the concept validation of Native Rollups, a design that allows Ethereum to directly verify Layer 2 state transitions in its own execution environment. The experiment implemented EIP-8079 through a new EXECUTE precompilation, which rerun Layer 2 blocks on the Ethereum base layer without relying on external proofs.
