Polymarket just released a command-line tool, written in Rust, and you can install it with a single `brew install`.
What does this mean? AI Agents can now directly operate prediction markets in the terminal—search markets, check prices, view order books, and even place orders, all with JSON output support.
Previously, if an Agent wanted to trade on Polymarket, it had to wrap the API itself. Now, it’s all done with one command. Plus, it supports proxy wallets, EOA, and Gnosis multisig.
Version v0.1.4 was just updated on February 24th, still very early-stage, and the official team has explicitly said not to put large amounts of funds into it yet.
But the direction is clear—prediction market trading interfaces are shifting from web pages to terminals and Agents.
Do you think AI auto-trading on prediction markets is reliable?
For me, the most useful feature is the JSON output mode.
`polymarket markets search "bitcoin" -o json` spits out structured data directly, which can be seamlessly integrated into monitoring scripts.
It’s so much more convenient than wrapping the API myself before.
But honestly, letting AI decide to place bets on prediction markets by itself… just thinking about it is kind of thrilling.
