🌱 Michael @saylor once said: "Volatility is vitality."
Well, I have bad news for you. Or maybe not?
📉 Bitcoin's vitality, measured in volatility, has been in decline. Bitcoin's rolling 1-year volatility has declined 30% over the past decade, from a 10-year average of 66% to 46% today.
But this is actually good news. Lower volatility makes Bitcoin more accessible to institutional investors and makes it in general less scary as an investment.
🏦 While Bitcoin may have been too volatile in the past to fit into professional mandates, it is becoming an increasingly investable asset.
✅ It is a sign of Bitcoin maturing, and despite its declining volatility, compared to traditional assets, its volatility and thus also opportunity remains significantly higher.
Declining volatility also brings Bitcoin step-by-step closer towards being a viable medium of exchange for more people.(Dr. Jan Wüstenfeld)
