According to research by Deutsche Bank, when the gold price reaches $5790 per ounce, the value of central bank gold reserves will surpass that of US dollar reserves, and gold may become the world's "main" reserve asset. Currently, according to data from the World Gold Council, central banks around the world have foreign exchange reserves of approximately $13 trillion and official gold holdings of 36000 tons. Based on the current gold price of $5500 per ounce, the value of gold reserves is approximately $6.37 trillion.
