Robert Jennick, the spokesperson for the UK Reform Party's fiscal affairs, will announce on Wednesday that if the Reform Party wins the next general election, it will carry out comprehensive reforms to the Bank of England and the Office for Budget Responsibility. The Reform Party plans to strip the Bank of England of its auxiliary responsibilities in areas such as net zero emissions, allowing it to focus on reducing inflation, and requires the Budget Responsibility Office to incorporate more diverse opinions in economic forecasts. Janrick will also confirm that these adjustments will not affect the independence of the two institutions. Reform Party leader Nigel Farage had previously questioned the independence of the two institutions.
