According to The Wall Street Journal, the US Department of Defense has instructed a second aircraft carrier strike group to prepare for deployment to the Middle East in response to a possible attack on Iran. An official revealed that the deployment order may be issued within a few hours. Trump stated on Tuesday that he is considering sending a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East in response to potential military action following the failure of negotiations with Iran. Officials pointed out that Trump has not yet issued a formal deployment order and the plan may be adjusted. The Pentagon is preparing to deploy an aircraft carrier within two weeks, possibly departing from the East Coast of the United States. The George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier is conducting training exercises near the coast of Virginia, and this deployment may accelerate the exercise process. If deployed, this will be the first time in nearly a year that two aircraft carriers have appeared in the Middle East region.
