Hines, CEO of Tether's US subsidiary, stated that with the launch of compliant stablecoin USAT and the growth of USDT, Tether is expected to become one of the top ten buyers of US Treasury bonds this year. Currently, Tether holds over $122 billion in US Treasury bonds, accounting for 83.11% of its reserve assets. It ranks between Germany and Saudi Arabia in the US Treasury Department's ranking of foreign holdings, and is in the top 20. USDT users are approximately 530 million, with a quarterly growth of 30 million. The USAT launched last month was issued by Anchorage Bank and meets GENIUS compliance standards, which will boost demand for US bond purchases. Tether still holds approximately 140 tons of gold, ranking thirteenth globally.
